Pulmonary Fibrosis Testimonial
Duke had another breathing test that like the ones before that showed improvement even after completing Dr. Kief's treatment for IPF. Our new Pulmonologist was astounded. He said, "I've never seen anyone with IPF improve!" Duke's improvement began shortly after beginning Dr. Kief's treatment and has continued long after finishing it. We celebrated his 79th birthday last week. Yesterday he played jazz for our local American Heart Walk from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. He continues to take carpet cleaning jobs. From a musical standpoint, he plays bass at church and guitar for all other gigs/performances. Later this week, he'll be playing 3 shows with a 16 piece, swing band at a county fair. Last Sunday afternoon he played at a new winery. He's extremely busy sculpting and painting hundreds of miniature tin Roman soldiers.
(See his website www.DukePix.SmugMug.com) There is nothing he can't do that he did before having a triple bypass in April 2008, a cardiac stent in February 2009 & being diagnosed with IPF in April 2009. He also works out 3 days a week at Planet Fitness!
Obviously, we're most grateful to have heard about Dr. Kief's treatment for IPF because when diagnosed Duke was given 18 months - 2 years, at the most! We thank God, Branch to Hope and Dr. Kief for proving our doctor wrong.
